Parking
Follow Visitor Parking signs alongside the entrance drive. Walk approximately 200 yards over gravel paths to the house. The lot is adequately sized for all passenger vehicles as well as for RVs and buses.

Hours
Open daily 9am to 5pm, March through October and 10am to 4pm, November through February. Closed for the holidays: New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving and Friday after, December 24-26, December 31. ​

Admission & Payment Methods
Self-Guided Grounds Tours - $10 for adults 18 and older. Complimentary for children. Our self-pay kiosk accepts cash (exact change only), checks, Paypal & Venmo (service fee applies). Access to the residence is not included.

House Tours
Guided tours of the residence are available by appointment only - we recommend booking a week in advance. Admission is $35 for adults, $25 for school-aged children. A self-guided grounds tour is complimentary for visitors who tour the residence. Request an appointment here or email us at info@sherwoodforest.org. At this time we do not offer regularly-scheduled tours of the residence on a daily basis.

Closures
From time to time, Sherwood Forest may close for special events, maintenance, or inclement weather. The most up-to-date information is found via social media.

Restrooms
Restroom facilities are provided for your convenience. The brochure directing our self-guided grounds tour includes a map. Note that restrooms may be closed periodically during the winter months.​

Accessibility
The grounds feature gravel pathways and gently rolling lawns that reflect the historic landscape of the property. Because of the historic nature and construction of the residence, it is not accessible via a ramp. Please contact us at info@sherwoodforest.org if you have questions about accessibility.

Pets​
Pets are not permitted on the property. Service animals, as defined by the ADA, are welcome but must remain leashed at all times. Emotional support animals are not qualified service animals and are not permitted in the house or on the grounds.

Bicycles
For safety and preservation reasons, bicycles are not permitted on the grounds. A rack is provided at the entrance for visitors to secure their bicycles.

Photography
Photography of the grounds is for personal use only. No photography is permitted in the residence. Commercial photography sessions, including professional shoots, styled sessions, or photography requiring equipment beyond a handheld camera, require permission in advance. Please contact us prior to your visit.
